IgA Antibody
$780.00Original price was: $780.00.$650.00Current price is: $650.00. Add to cartIgA antibody is the most abundant antibody class in human serum and has a unique role in mediating immunity. IgA is a polyvalent antibody that is translocated to mucosal surfaces as the first line of defence against infections. Most of the secreted IgA lines the mucosal surfaces including respiratory, digestive and genitourinary tracts to protect against pathogens while maintaining gut homeostasis.
The importance of IgA in pathogen defence is highlighted by the numerous mechanisms used by pathogens to neutralize sIgAs, including sIgA-binding proteins and sIgA-specific proteases produced by certain pneumococci, neisseriae and haemophilus species of bacteria.
IgA Antibody Structure and Format
IgA antibodies consists of heavy (H) and light (L) chains. Each H chain is comprised of the Constant region (Cα1, Cα2, Cα3), hinge region and the Variable (V) region. Light chains consists of the CL and Vκ or Vλ elements. Altogether the combined molecular weight of IgA antibody is ~160 kDa. IgA antibodies possess a unique 18-amino acid tail piece at the C-terminus of the H chains which is key for oligomerization. As in the case of IgM antibody, IgA antibody monomers routinely dimerize with the help of a 15 kDa J chain. The secreted form of IgA (sIgA) is usually dimeric and contains an additional 80-85 kDa component.

Neuroscience Antibodies
$920.00Original price was: $920.00.$780.00Current price is: $780.00. Add to cartThe discovery of new potential drug targets, signaling molecules and structural proteins in the brain has dramatically increased the demand for high-quality neuroscience antibodies. The research on traditional targets and pathways will continue to focus on dopamine, beta amyloid, and serotonin. We offer a wide range of tools, including pan and phospho-specific antibodies as well as peptides and proteins geared toward different areas of neuroscience research. These antibodies, particularly those applicable to studies involving various pathways leading to neurological diseases, are among the bio-reagents keenly sought by neuroscience researchers.
All BioAnalix neuroscience antibodies are carefully purified prior to delivery. Most of our production processes involve affinity chromatography purification based on the relevant epitope, further ensuring the quality of antibodies. BioAnalix has a comprehensive collection of antibodies targeting Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological diseases including Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
